Description: Gorgeous patina! Ancient Egyptian Osirus Amulet, Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Solid cast bronze figure of Osirus, depicted mummiform against a back pillar, his fisted hands emerging from his vestment, holding a crook and a flail, wearing a plaited false beard and a plumed atef-crown fronted by a uraeus, on a low integral plinth; suspension loop on proper right side of plinth and between shoulders on reverse. Amulet itself stands 4"H, intact and mounted on wood. For near identical example, see Christies, Lot 95, Sale 1584, Dec 2005.
