From the ancient Roman settlements that dotted much of today's Syria, dating between the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D. Large geometric panel with a pattern of squares and triangles, composed of ochre, red, salmon-pink, gray and black tesserae. Professionally mounted in a steel frame border and embedded into concrete. Perfect tabletop, floor or wall decoration! 36-1/2" x 59-1/2", in choice condition with wonderful shading of colors. This one has been looked at by many experts, including Jerry Eisenberg of Royal Athena Gallery in New York city, and they all agree it is a wonderful and authentic example. I do have a steel table base which makes this a very nice coffee table, I can include this at no charge, a nice beveled piece of glass on top would make it a rare and interesting conversation piece. IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to size and weight of this mosaic panel, must be professionally crated and shipped via a trucking/freight company - please inquire as to actual shipping cost to your destination.
