Ca. 1325 AD - 1400 AD
Description: A beautiful and huge example of the very desirable Mogollon, Four Mile polychrome bowls. This bowl shows a very detailed and large eagle painted in the bottom of the bowl, details given to the tail and wing feathers. The exterior is surrounded by a great geometric pattern of black and white fine line painting. White is the one color that usually does not survive and is usually enhanced on a ceramic. This is not the case on this bowl, as all of the paint is 100% there and no enhancement was done. Legally purchased from a private collection, legal release and disclosure accompanies the piece.
Condition: Reassembled from several pieces, minor restoration present to very small pieces, less than 5%
