Ca. 800 AD – 1200 AD
Description: A very rare carved Mimbres Turquoise pendant. It can be seen where the ancients first tried to bow drill it and it broke through. This stone was so valuable that they carved out a design notch on both sides to cover the mistake and then re-drilled it to make it wearable. This pendant is a part of a large collection of pre-Historic jewelry acquired from a very well documented collection. Legally purchased from a private collection.
