Ca. 950 AD - 1300 AD
Description: A very bright Mimbres geometric with a negative painted "wind design" around the rim. The bottom is filled with fine line hatching. The bowl displays very well. Unlike the Mogollon, who often buried numerous vessels with their dead, the Mimbres usually provided only a single bowl, ritually "killed" by punching a hole in the bottom to release the spirit. Displayed on custom steel stand. Legally purchased from a private collection, legal release and disclosure accompanies the piece.
Condition: No plaster, no re-paint, broken as seen from the kill.
Dimension: Height: 4.5 inches Diameter: 9.0 inches
